    Fleet Officer - Ambulances

    A Fleet Officer is needed to join our fast growing team, supporting the Operations Manager in running a fleet of compliant Ambulances in Manchester. The successful candidate will be confident and reliable, with great communication skills with a hands on and well organised approach to work.

    You will ensure that the Ambulance Care Assistants (ACA’s) correctly complete the VDI’s, identifying vehicle damage, checking that cleaning protocols are followed and auditing equipment and consumables. Assisting the Operations Manager and reporting to the Fleet Director, you will ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, legal, safety and CQC requirements at all times by ensuring:

    • Audit vehicles on a regular basis
    • Ensure all fleet documentation is compliant
    • All defects are completed and signed off by the garage
    • All repairs are tracked for costing and analysis
    • Liaise with the Operations Manager and Fleet Director on driver and vehicle issues
    • Complete administrative tasks and reports as requested

    Minimum criteria and experience required to apply:

    • Experience of working in a similar fleet role
    • Computer proficient; Word, Excel, Access database and documents

    All the training and uniform will be provided.

    We support the NHS every hour of every day and so we need people who can work at weekends as and when required.

    Ambulance Emergency Care Assistant (ECA)

    We are looking for FREC 4 qualified professionals, with a Level 3 Emergency Response Ambulance Driving qualification, to work from our site at St Georges Hospital site in London.

    You will be an experienced ECA with a minimum of 2 years’ experience with evidence of CPD and who is able to work closely with hospital teams and use your skills to support the team around you. You will be given support with CPD and help to continue to develop your skills.

    We need colleagues who can provide great care and support to all patients travelling with us. You will be caring and compassionate and have a great ability to talk to patients.

    Safely and reliably transporting children and young adults with Special Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within London, during term time, as part of HATS Home to School Transport operations.

    This role involves the safe and reliable transporting of children and young adults with Special Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within London during term time, as part of HATS Home to School Transport operations.

    This is a Mon-Fri school term time position. Work requirements are aligned to the school academic year. Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

    Patient Transport Controller

    We are looking for experienced and skilled controllers for our Patient Transport Services operation. A good knowledge of the Cleric system is required. This role is a shift work and we have various shift patterns available.


    At the centre of our St Georges Hospital Patient Transport Services Operations is the controller. You will be controlling the ambulances we have and ensuring patients get in to appointments on time. There are times when you will be under pressure and you will need to be calm and have clarity of thought.

    We need people who can take control of a situation but have the behaviours and communication skills to build the team and work with the Ambulance Care Assistants to get the patients transported safely and in a timely manner.

    We will provide comprehensive support and development for the successful candidates.

    Various shifts are available, so if you have the right experience to make a success of this role.

    Ambulance Care Assistant / Driver

    The role of an Ambulance Care Assistant (ACA) is to provide great care and support to all patients travelling with HATS. You will be caring and compassionate and have a great ability to talk to patients. If you enjoy being out and about, meeting and helping people and are committed to delivering a great patient experience then this is the role for you!


    You will be responsible for transporting patients to and from hospital appointments and ensuring they are safe and well cared for. You will be driving ambulances, so a driving licence is essential with no more than 3 points. It would be great if you have some experience of working in a caring environment but this is not essential as full accredited training will be given. You will need a clear enhanced DBS.

    All the training and uniform will be provided.
