The world has been shocked by the recent, tragic turn of events and human suffering in Ukraine. Many homes have been destroyed or are unsafe to live in. Critical infrastructure such as health facilities, water supplies and schools have also been damaged or destroyed. This has created a situation where hundreds of thousands of people are forced to flee the country.
In the past few weeks at HATS Group, a few of our staff members, including our CEO Henry Bilinski began taking trips to Poland to drop off essential items.
A considerable number of items, including clothes, toiletries, and medical supplies, were collected over the last few weeks by our staff, clients, and local business. Due to the proximity of the conflict and our ethos of serving those in need, we felt it was imperative to support the people of Ukraine and those directly impacted.
Our staff have sorted through and packed all donations delivered in our HATS ambulances. We are committed to taking as many trips as possible in hopes of making a difference for people affected by this crisis.
In addition, we are also actively helping our staff who have been impacted by the invasion—offering support through a few of our schemes set up to ensure staff wellbeing, guidance, and advice.
