When Hurricane Beryl struck the Caribbean in June/July 2024, it left a trail of destruction across islands, including Petite Martinique. Among those impacted was the family of Dorane’s nanny, our dedicated home liaison officer, whose home was destroyed.
In response, the HATS teams in London and Wales mobilised quickly. With less than 24 hours before the relief shipment deadline, Wales Contract Manager Christine Fleming and her team sourced essential supplies, while H2S drivers Liban and Ali ensured a swift and timely delivery to London. Together, they made the deadline, and the aid was successfully included in the shipment.
The donated aid included cleanup tools, tarpaulins to cover roofless homes, emergency shelter, and generators, bringing light to communities still in darkness. This incredible team effort reflects our deep commitment to compassion, collaboration, and community recovery.
