In honour of Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, on the 22nd of September, we hosted a Coffee/ Cake morning at Chelsea and Westminster.
During this week the Alzheimer’s Society is asking people across the UK to unite against dementia. Dementia is set to be the 21st century’s biggest killer. But awareness and understanding remain low and many families are facing it alone.
Alzheimer’s Awareness aims to encourage people to come together and take action by raising awareness, as well as offering help and understanding, to help those living with the condition and their family members. Refreshments and a selection of cakes were served to our patients and staff which included leaflets and useful information regarding dementia.
