'A very merry Christmas'

In December, HATS supported the Merky Foundation founded in 2019 by the British musician Stormzy.

In December, HATS supported the Merky Foundation founded in 2019 by the British musician Stormzy. The charity fights for equality for all underprivileged children from low-income areas. In 2021, the Merky Foundation pledged £500,000 to help fund college and university for unprivileged students which 30 students managed to gain scholarships to Cambridge University.

This year, the Merky Foundation announced their second annual Christmas festive ‘A Very Merky Christmas’ for all residents of Croydon where families could attend for free. This was a two-day event which was held on 15th and 16th December. HATS donated £2,500 towards the charity, presents worth of £500 which went towards families supported by a team of HATS staff that volunteered for the two days. A special thanks to Hana Sharif, Sabrina Noor and Hayam Mohamed for assisting with wrapping the presents that was delivered to ‘The Merky Foundation.’
