Serving Community Needs

HATS Heroes of the Month
January 2021

HATS St Pancras teams efforts contributed enormously to the efficient and effective roll out of the COVID-19 vaccine in their region…..

Again, during January, there were many extraordinary and potentially worthy winners of the Hero of the Month Award. However, during those short, cold and tremendously busy January days, one team seemed to stand just that little bit taller than even the exemplary exploits of their peers from right across the HATS Group: they were – Shaznin Begum and her team at St Pancras Hospital who continuously went above and beyond displaying what it means to be a HATS Group Hero of the Month winner.

Specifically, I am in receipt of many glowing letters of appreciation and support highlighting how professional and responsive Shaznin and the team have been during what was an undoubtedly extremely challenging time, however, what is particularly pleasing is that many of these letters of appreciation and support are focussed on the way that that the team rallied around and was particularly responsive in supporting the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust’s rapid roll out to the community of the COVID-19 Vaccine programme. Specifically, being recognised and commended by some of the Trust’s most senior personal for their:

  • Responsiveness and co-ordination of efforts
  • Effective planning of the most efficient routes
  • Amazing teamwork and ‘never be beaten’ attitude!
  • Always having a smile on their faces
  • Nothing appearing to be too much effort – even in the most challenging of times, with extensive workloads!

It is without doubt that Shaznin and the whole of the HATS St Pancras teams efforts contributed enormously to the efficient and effective roll out of the COVID-19 vaccine in their region. So, a huge well-done, it was a true team effort and as a team, Shaznin and her colleagues represented The HATS Group brilliantly, making a significant and quantifiable difference to the care and support that many people received throughout was without doubt, an extremely taxing period, during the early days of the vaccine rollout program.
