At HATS, giving back to those in need is at the heart of what we do.
In Gaza, 2 million people endure extreme overcrowding, with 1.87 million displaced. Their livelihoods are devastated: 70% of crop fields are destroyed, food systems crippled, humanitarian aid restricted, and health and WASH systems collapsing. Basic essentials like food are a daily struggle, with 1.84 million facing severe food insecurity, including 133,000 at catastrophic levels. Malnutrition has surged, and famine looms amid escalating hostilities.
HATS has partnered with GRT, a Birmingham-based charity, providing essential support in Gaza and other famine-risk regions. Our volunteers are distributing food, offering 2,000 people daily hot meals, fresh vegetables, and food packs for two weeks.
In the shadows of conflict, it is often the innocent who bear the heaviest burdens. Families, children, and the elderly — those who long for peace and safety — face unimaginable challenges every day.
